About

Retro Salvage Games started the way most collections do — with one console pulled out of a closet and the itch to track down the games we grew up on. Weekend hunts through flea markets, yard sales, and online listings slowly turned into shelves full of cartridges, discs, and consoles spanning every era. The hobby took over, and eventually it became the business.

Collecting taught us what awesome looks like — and what to watch out for. We've all felt the letdown of a "tested" game that wasn't, or a "complete" copy missing its manual. So we built the shop we always wanted to buy from: every item cleaned, inspected, and honestly described by people who genuinely love this stuff.

Inspected, not graded

You'll see that phrase a lot around here. We don't slab games or sell them as investments — we test them, clean them, describe them accurately, and price them fairly. Every listing tells you exactly what you're getting: the condition, what's included, and anything worth knowing before you buy. If we wouldn't be glad to add it to our own shelves, we won't sell it to you.

How we work

Every game that comes through the door gets the same treatment: hand-inspected, cleaned, tested end to end, and checked for authenticity before it's listed. Curious about the details? Our Inspection Guide walks through the whole process. And everything ships within 3 business days, tracked and insured, backed by a 14-day guarantee.

Buying and selling, both ways

We're a shop, but we're collectors first — which means we buy as much as we sell. Single games, whole collections, consoles, the boxes in your attic: tell us what you have and we'll make a fair, no-pressure offer. You can also find us on eBay at retrosalvagegames, where every sale we've made is rated in public feedback.

Whether you're a lifelong collector or brand new to the hobby, there's a place for you here.
